Thank You Card
One week after the wedding we started writing and sending out thank you card. Since I’m going to do the writing but I would love to have Alvin’s input. I asked Alvin what are the nice thing to write on the card.
Being an extremely romantic, sensitive, thoughtful and drop dead considered man, he said, “Thank you. It was nice to have you in our wedding.”
“Like that only ah?” I asked.
“Yea! What else you wanna write?”
“Dunno… haiya… useless lah you!”
“So now how?”
I think and think and think and then I thought I’ll use his line as a base and write something more personal.
‘Dear so and so… thank you for the whatever. It was very nice/generous/kind. It was nice to have you join us in our wedding/since you missed our wedding, here’s a little something from us to you. With love, Alvin and YY’
“Wah!!! Need ah like that?”
“Of course lah!”
Me being a very personal person, I wrote them in a very personal manner using the above guideline.
So we sent off some thank you card and still sending some because we are extremely busy we have not seen these people yet.
Aileen was telling us she received a thank you card from her friend on their 1st anniversary. I can’t believe how anyone should spend one year to unpack all the presents.
I went out drinking with Sue and Meei Tyng, I passed them the thank you card along with the thank you card to Arnold.
Arnold called Sue.
“YY have thank you card for you.”
“Oh… that’s so nice of her. Are they divorce yet?”
Yea… very funny…
Anyway, that was just a touch of something. So who gave us something, in cash or kind (dinner don’t count), please come and claim your thank you card, or we’ll go hunt you down (which mean you might get it on our 5th anniversary, if you are lucky.)
Ya ya… I can hear some of you saying: PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL LAH!!!
OK. We are working on it =)
